In 1987, in response to their invitations, Amma embarked on Her first world tour. Today Amma spends most of the year travelling throughout India and the world in order to uplift suffering humanity through Her words and the comfort of Her embrace.

In the past 37 years, Amma has physically hugged more than 27 million people from all parts of the world. Her tireless spirit of dedication to uplifting others has inspired a vast network of charitable activities through which people are discovering the sense of peace that comes from selflessly serving others.

Amma keeps a gruelling travel schedule, leaving no time for rest, giving every moment possible to serving anyone who comes to Her. Nine months of a year, She is "on the road", moving from place to place. Every where Amma goes, huge crowds gather to hear Her speak and to experience Her loving embrace. Amma's message of love peace and selfless service is touching the hearts of millions.
